David Burke Prime 277 Park Avenue
The newest addition to the famed chef’s, David Burke, portfolio of steakhouses opened in the posh neighborhood of New York’s 277 Park Avenue. It’s his first new restaurant in the city in three years and was highly anticipated.
Harmonic Wine Displays, having fabricated and installed the now legendary wine tower at his steakhouse at Foxwoods’ Resort, was called in by TriMark Orlando. Everything about this new wine display would be highly customized. We needed to design a display that fit exactly between two predetermined walls of Himalayan salt with little room for error.
Project Highlights:
The wine display needed to basically fit into a wall of Himalayan salt that is backlit. The space for the wine cooler was 6 ft. X 8 ft. with only an 1/8th inch of tolerance. It was designed to be double sided so guests have an unobstructed view of the wine collection.
The cooler is dual temperature. It features two doors separated by an insulated partition. The area to the left houses white wines and champagnes at one temperature and the area to the right houses the red wines maintained at a different temperature.
The display also required a custom color finish.

When things don’t go as planned.

As always there can be issues in the field that must be overcome. In this case, the height of the equipment needed adjustment, so the Harmonic Wine Displays installation team, already on location, went to work looking for the solution. The display was designed with all the mechanicals housed on the top of the unit. A concrete beam running overhead in the ceiling obstructed any changes to the overhead dimensions. So, the installation team reconfigured the base and contracted a local fabricator to come in and rewrap it after the changes were made. In just two days the problem was solved and the one-of-a-kind wine cooler was installed and ready.

The wine cooler is a statement piece adding to the luxury atmosphere of the restaurant and magnifying its impeccable wine collection. Harmonic Wine Displays can not only be proud of the extraordinary design and workmanship, but also its ability to find solutions to problems. That’s the real expertise.
