Background and Challenge
Key Largo’s exclusive Ocean Reef Club operates several on-property restaurants to give residents and guests an array of elevated dining options. CH Prime, the members-only steakhouse, hired Harmonic Wine Displays to supply its restaurant equipment, but the relationship expanded when a Harmonic Wine Displays representative saw a sketch of proposed wine rooms. One, in particular, required a line-of-sight into the entire main dining area as well as a second and larger unit for the private dining room. Harmonic Wine Displays was asked to bring both visions to reality, executing every phase from design to guest-ready installations.
Solution
The wine rooms were designed to showcase the Ocean Reef Clubhouse and create more allure — showcasing its exceptional collection of wines and vintages while building more value into the private dining room wine installation, with its solid marble tables for tastings.

Project Highlights:
The main dining wine room was glass on three sides with heavy doors (approx. 500 lbs. each) that had to seal every time they were closed to maintain temperature and humidity. We designed, tested and installed custom door seals with a sensor and auto-suction mechanism - all without creating an industrial look that would clash with the room.
Our designers drew upon their knowledge of finishes to help Ocean Reef pick materials that were not only beautiful, but would retain value over time with the unique Florida climate, staff use and internal conditioning requirements.
We developed custom powder-coated metal elements to achieve the precise colors requested.

Outcome
After six months of design, two months of installation and another two months of training and troubleshooting, both wine rooms were online and ready to dazzle Ocean Reef Club members. Our team stayed on call for months after the builds were complete to help the staff learn how to run the systems optimally and perform required troubleshooting after the opening.
