When North Beach Plantation located in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and one of several vacation properties run by Brittain Resort Management, envisioned 21 Main at North Beach, a USDA Prime steakhouse, the company wanted to offer an elevated and creative take on the traditional steakhouse with the perfect wine pairings.
A food service consultant for the property reached out to Harmonic Wine Displays, a subsidiary of EmJac Industries, knowing they needed an expert in designing, building and installing a refrigerated wine room that would enhance the unique Southern charm of the steakhouse and meet the functionality requirements of the hot and humid coastal environment.
Project Highlights:
The wine room was originally an office tucked under a stairwell. Harmonic Wine Displays was tasked with converting the space into a fully insulated and refrigerated wine room capable of holding 2500 bottles. A large steel beam was part of the construction of the room, and the team had to accommodate and work it into the overall design.
During installation, when a component didn’t fit, a 6” custom panel was designed and installed to cover the gap. In addition to the wine room, two glass wine displays were fabricated and installed to enhance the visability and sale of vintage wines.
After a successful install, the consultants reached out for additional restaurant equipment and a jaw-dropping waterfall.
Because of our creative solutions to the property’s wine display needs, the consultants on the project reached out to our parent company, EmJac Industries, for the design and fabrication of a refrigerated sushi case and then to our sister company, Harmonic Environments, for a 15’ Cascade Waterfall. All in all, it was our 50 years of expertise and service in the hospitality industry that built our on-going relationship with the leadership and design team at 21 Main at North Beach.
